If you’re tired and hungover and wanna be a lazy bum today, this is what Lazy Sunday is for.
Check out The Hat Goes Wild, Guy Sprung’s feature film debut. A little awkward, a little awesome, a little B-slasher movie homage, a lot Blair Witch Project, all with local talent and a local touch.
Six CEGEP students (the captain of your school’s hockey team, the brainy Sikh guy from your philosophy class, your bff-since-high-school Barb, etc.) are on a canoeing/camping trip somewhere in le Québec wilderness. Bad omens and tensions build, and creepy absurdity is the result. It’s low budget, it’s over the top, and it features a mystical turtle. Glauque. I just hope Barb’s all right, you know?
Showtimes: 11:30am, 2:15, 5:05, 7:35, 10:10 (Sunday to Thursday) at AMC Forum 22 (Atwater metro)
