A new club will soon grace the Quartier des Spectacles in late March 2015!
Newspeak, which borrowed its name from Orwell’s 1984, is a trendy new club with a nouveau “1920s prohibition-era” speakeasy feel. Samouraïs des Jungles Urbaines (SJU) is the events and promotions company behind the bar’s concept. They’re looking to establish Newspeak as a nucleus for Montreal subculture. Newspeak will provide its patrons with a diverse mix of electronic music. In fact, SJU are known to bring in a vast array of international musical artists. Yet, this is not even the most exciting news! THUMP, Vice’s electronic music publication, will join Samouraïs des Jungles Urbaines to host Newspeak’s 3-night grand opening!
March 26: Untold LIVE, Ben Pearce, Tessela, Egyptrixx, Buck Smith (Free before 10 PM and $10 at the door after).
March 27: Wankelmut, Robert Robert, Mat Constance (get tickets)
March 28: Soulection Showcase with Jay Prince, IAMNOBODI, Esta., Joe Kay, Noo-Bap (get tickets)
Don’t miss your chance to attend the grand opening of Montreal’s speakeasy of the future!
