It’s time to get grilling. Montreal is hosting another exciting food festival this August that is sure to fire up your taste buds. People of all ages are invited to Barbecue Bonanza on August 23rd to experience the grilling techniques of assorted cuisines from around the world. Held by the Clock Tower in Montreal’s scenic Old Port, this event promises to be an exciting daylong celebration filled with food and fun.
The event not only hopes to expose festival-goers to the various styles of grilling, but also to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation Quebec. For over 20 years the charitable foundation has offered support to children facing prolonged illnesses and their families. The foundation’s website explains: “Starlight helps bring the pure joy of being a kid back into the lives of sick children and their families. From brief getaways to in-hospital fun, we offer a much-needed escape from the daily rigors of treatment and a chance to be like any other family.”
The upscale food festival will feature 26 different restaurants that will provide assorted cuisine using techniques such as barbecuing, grilling, roasting, smoking and braising. Each restaurant will serve 2 signature dishes. Barbecue Bonanza has something for everyone, including those with dietary restrictions. Grilled foods to be featured will include everything from meats to fish to cheese to vegetables.
The festival will also include:
- Bloody Caesar Bar
- Vodka Bar
- Beer Bar
- Wine Bar
- Juice Bar
- Coffee Bar
- 6 Dessert Sections
All food and drink items will be available through the use of coupons purchased through your admission ticket.
