By now, there’s a good chance you’ve already heard of Dynamic/MTL. And if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat — in Montreal, there’s really nothing quite like it. An innovative talk series that focuses on all things digital, Dynamic/MTL invites Montrealers to come hear from some of the leading figures in creative digital fields, providing excellent opportunities for both gaining insider’s knowledge and meeting like-minded individuals. Since hosting their first event at the Phi Centre a year ago, the project’s taken off and seems to only get better with age.

Powered by Montreal’s notorious digital design agency Dynamo, Dynamic/MTL will be hosting their next conference on the growth of digital media in Montreal on Tuesday, October 20th. Described as “a series of discussions aimed to build and foster Montreal’s digital community,” next week’s talk is themed Sound & Vision and also happens to be an extra special edition: it’s Dynamic/MTL’s one-year anniversary!

Taking place at the Phi Centre (407 Rue Saint Pierre) from 5:30 to 8 pm, come listen to some thought-provoking discussion featuring speakers Michael Renaud , the VP & Creative Director of Pitchfork; Vincent Morisset, an interactive film director who has worked with Arcade Fire; and Mira Burt-Wintonick, radio producer & documentary filmmaker.

The conference coincides with the launch of DynamicLabs, a series of workshops that provide training in specific digital skills to Montreal creatives. The workshops are the result of a partnership between Dynamic/MTL and La Gare, a new workspace for rent in the heart of the Mile-End. Upcoming workshops include atomic design, Youtube content strategy, data-driven retail, and more.
