Boulevard Saint-Laurent, nicknamed “The Main,” is Montreal’s most vital vein. This blog takes its name from the notorious stretch, and was created to represent the Montreal lifestyle in all its glory– from the stimulating style, music, art, people, food, travel and more.
The Main exists to keep the people of Montreal and it’s surroundings up to date on the city’s latest events, newest and coolest stores, best restaurants, and more.

Philip Tabah - Founder / Editor-in-Chief
This ambitious Montreal native has made it his job to show the big MTL what’s up. He created The Main to show off the things he thinks make Montreal so special. The Main is as much for him as it is for its readers and he wants to make it all the easier to discover what’s brewing in every corner of the city. On his watch, only the highest quality content from some of Montreal’s finest writers and photographer will be posted for your reading pleasure.
Camille Chacra – Editor-in-Chief
This shameless broad is here to share what really butters her biscuits about Montreal. A local journalist and avid yapper, Camille takes her torrid relationship with the city very seriously. She is beyond turned on by its passionate love of art, music, fashion, history and other aphrodisiacs, which is why she teamed up with big boss Phil in early 2012 to jumpstart this Em-tee-ell bible. Through the neglected richness of the written word, she hopes to charm everyone into loving the city as much as she does. xx
Sarvenaz Amir-E. – Music Editor
Better known as “Sarv”, this often overwhelmed, former anthropology major found herself immersed in Montreal’s fertile music scene at an earlier age. She inevitably developed a resilient love for the city’s expansive and ever-growing pool of talent, and with a bit of help from her occasional run-ins with luck, picked up on various writing opportunities as an alternate way of showing her appreciation for the tight-knit community’s existence– via the internet.
Ariana Molly – Fashion Editor /Street Style Photographer
This feisty, ex-Ottawan and has always felt a certain “je ne sais quoi” toward the curious city of Montreal. As a doe-eyed first-year university student, she has seldom encountered a city with such zest, which of course means she adores her job as street style photographer and fashion editor. She hopes to capture the impractical beauty and wild style that graces the streets without getting her panties in a bunch– and intends to do so with enchanting wit and an ever-so-slightly scandalous charm.
Daniel Bromberg – Food Editor
Daniel is just your typical guy. He likes to drink, loves to explore, and relishes eating his heart out in Montreal. With a keen eye for detail, his photographs capture the spirit of the city, and his narratives express the undying passion he has for it. Whenever in doubt, trust him to give you the best advice on where to visit, what to do, and how to devour it.
Caitlin Walsh Miller - Culture Editor
Caitlin straight up loves Montreal. She loves the people, she loves the languages they speak, she loves the mountain, she loves the bars, and she loves the Main. That’s a lot of love to go around (and boy, has she been around)… But she always ends up back in Montreal, and she’s here to tell you WHY.
Alessia Vincelli – Community Manager
Alessia loves meeting new people, enjoys any topic of conversation, and is game for just about any social get-together. As a graduate of Anatomy and Cell Biology, she knows how to keep things in check and organized. Born and raised in Montreal, she has a great appreciation for our city, including its myriad of dinning choices, talented music scene, amazing fashion and unique culture. If you see her, don’t be shy, say hi!
